Booking a psychic reading from Southend-on-Sea is simple, and a Zoom call at home is the least effort. To sit with me in person you would ride into London on c2c from Southend Central to Fenchurch Street, and I send directions to where we meet once you've booked.

When the tide goes out at Southend, the mud flats shine all the way along the pier, the longest pleasure pier in the world, and along the shore at Old Leigh the cockle sheds carry on much as they always have. It's a seaside city that enjoys a night out and has never been shy about the spiritual side of life, so it's no surprise that plenty of people here are curious about a reading. I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher. From Southend you can also book me for a private evening with friends.

Psychic nights out in Southend-on-Sea

Southend loves a gathering, and a psychic evening is one of the nicest ways I know to bring friends or family together. I offer private events and psychic parties and they take place wherever you decide to host them, so if you have a house in Westcliff with a big front room, or you're thinking of hiring a space in Leigh for a birthday, that's something we can talk through.

Every event is shaped around the people coming. Before the night, we agree how many guests there will be, how long I'll be with you and what kind of experience you want. Some groups like a guided intuitive circle where everyone takes part. Others want a relaxed evening with time for messages and questions. I'll be honest about what's realistic for the size of the group, so nobody leaves feeling rushed.

A few practical notes for anyone organising one:

  • Every guest needs to be 18 or over, including at birthday and celebration nights.
  • A quiet corner or second room helps if people would like a private moment.
  • There's no set public price, because the format changes with every booking. The contact form is the easiest place to start.

I don't run regular public evenings in Southend, and I haven't got a local base. A private event happens because you've invited me, at a place you've arranged.

Mediumship for families by the estuary

Away from the party side, a lot of people look for a medium because someone they love has died. Maybe it was a parent who spent every summer walking the seafront, or a friend you used to sit with outside on the Cliffs. Grief makes you want one more conversation, and that longing is completely natural.

A mediumship sitting is my careful attempt to make contact with someone in Spirit and relay whatever I receive. I'll always say this plainly: no one can guarantee who will come through, or what they'll want to share. Sometimes the person you hope for is there straight away. Sometimes it's a grandparent you barely knew, with something gentle to say. I describe what I receive as clearly as I can and give you room to say whether it makes sense.

If your loss is very recent and raw, it can help to wait a little. Mediumship is guidance and comfort, and it's not a substitute for grief support, counselling or any medical, psychological, legal or financial advice you may need.

I felt this energy of comfort and ease… positive guidance and insightful messages.

Zoom readings from your own sofa

For most people in Southend-on-Sea, the easiest way to see me is on a video call from home. You pick a slot in the online calendar, a Zoom link arrives by email, and at the time you simply sit down somewhere quiet. No train to catch, no parking, and you can look out at the estuary afterwards while it all sinks in.

A Zoom session is every bit as personal as one in a room. I'm tuning into you, not your postcode. If you'd like to know more before booking, I've written a fuller guide to readings over video call, including how to rearrange if the day gets away from you.

This works well if you:

  • care for children or older relatives and can't easily be away for half a day
  • would feel more relaxed opening up from your own sofa
  • want mediumship but don't feel ready to travel and sit with a stranger

How much of a day does a London session take from Southend-on-Sea?

Roughly half a day: close to an hour on the train each way, the session itself, and a little time to find where we are meeting. Zoom takes just the length of the reading.

If you prefer to sit with me face to face, the trip is straightforward. The c2c line runs from Southend Central to Fenchurch Street in about 55 minutes, and Greater Anglia trains run from Southend Victoria, by way of Rochford, into Liverpool Street. Both arrive on the City side of London, and you'll get directions to where we meet after booking, as there's no public address.

A 30-minute in-person reading in London is £100. If you're making the trip, it can be worth making a day of it. The train ride home can be a good time to sit with what you've heard before you're back on the seafront. Aim for a train after the morning peak, when c2c is far quieter, and if a carer's rota, young children or mobility make a half-day away unrealistic, stay with Zoom.

Makers, artists and learning your own intuition

Leigh has long drawn painters, musicians and makers to its old town and the streets climbing up from the Broadway, and creative people often sense things they can't quite explain. If that's you, or if you've had strong feelings about people and places since childhood, you may want to understand your own gifts rather than only receive readings.

I teach psychic development and mediumship to adults, at a steady pace and with a lot of attention on staying grounded. If you want to begin on your own first, my journal has some first steps for developing intuition. You can learn with others in a live group or have private lessons, and private lessons on Zoom are often the realistic choice from the estuary if a weekly trip to London won't fit. I don't run a local circle in Southend or Leigh. What I can offer is the same careful teaching wherever you join from.

Joining her Psychic Circle was a great investment in my own spirituality.

The simplest way to find out which route suits you is the free 20-minute Intuitive Clarity Consultation on Zoom. We simply talk: what has drawn you to this, what you've noticed so far and what you'd like to be able to do. There's no reading in it and no pressure to sign up for anything, and I'll tell you honestly if I think you'd be better starting with a single reading first. Psychic Readings in Southend-on-Sea: FAQs

Can you host a psychic party at a venue in Southend-on-Sea?

Yes. A private evening takes place wherever you decide to host it, so a home in Westcliff, a hired room in Leigh or another space you arrange in Southend can all be discussed. We agree the guest numbers, timing and format beforehand, and every guest must be 18 or over. There's no fixed public price, because each event is planned around you, so start by sending me a message through the contact form.

Which train should I take from Southend for an in-person reading?

The quickest option is usually c2c from Southend Central to Fenchurch Street, which takes about 55 minutes. If you live nearer Prittlewell or Rochford, Greater Anglia from Southend Victoria into Liverpool Street may suit you better. Both bring you into the City, and I send the exact meeting details after you book, since I don't publish an address.

Does mediumship work on Zoom if I'm at home in Southend?

Yes, mediumship works on Zoom just as it does in person, because the connection doesn't depend on distance. Many people find it easier at home, where they feel safe and can have a photo or keepsake beside them. As with any sitting, nobody can promise who will come through, and I'll be honest with you about whatever I do or don't receive.

How old do guests need to be at a psychic evening in Southend?

Everyone who receives a reading or takes part in a psychic evening must be 18 or over. That applies to private parties, birthdays and family gatherings alike. If younger family members will be at the venue, it's best to plan a separate space for them, and I'm happy to talk through the arrangements with you before the night.
