This notice explains how The Butterfly Academy of Psychics (“the academy”, “I”, “me”), run by Michelle Virtue in London, uses personal information when you visit this website, book a session or get in touch. Last updated 2026-10-28.
What I collect
- Booking details you give when you book through the Acuity Scheduling calendar: your name, email address, phone number if you add it, the session you choose and any notes you include. Payments are handled by Acuity’s payment provider; I never see or store your full card details.
- Messages you send by phone, by email, on social media or through any form on this website.
- Session notes I may keep to support follow-up sessions, only with information you share with me.
Why I use it
To arrange, deliver and follow up your sessions, to answer your questions, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. The lawful bases are performing our agreement with you, my legitimate interest in running the practice, and legal obligation. I don’t sell your information and I don’t send marketing without your consent.
Who processes it
Bookings are processed by Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace) and its payment processor. Zoom sessions use Zoom Video Communications. Any enquiry form on this website is processed by the form provider named beside it. These services act on my instructions and have their own privacy policies.
How long I keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires (normally six years). Messages and session notes are deleted when they are no longer needed, and you can ask me to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your information, ask me to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how I use it, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To make a request, use the contact page or call 07482 343459.
Cookies
This website doesn’t set advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded services (the booking calendar, Google Maps and Google Fonts) may set their own cookies or collect technical data such as your IP address when they load.
