The journal exists to give clear, honest information about intuition, mediumship, healing and spiritual practice. This page explains how each guide is made, so you can judge how far to rely on it. Service and area pages follow the same honesty rules: exact prices, no guarantees, no invented addresses, and clear signposting to medical and mental-health help. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Who writes the guides
Guides are published under the name of Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher and a certified Reiki Master Practitioner. Her own experience appears only where she has shared it. Research and drafting are assisted by AI writing tools, working to her brief and her way of practising. Every guide is checked against its listed sources before it is published, and any error you report is corrected.
How claims are sourced
- Factual claims, numbers, dates and studies are checked against the sources listed at the end of each guide, which link to the original publisher wherever possible.
- Preferred sources are the NHS and other public bodies, universities, peer-reviewed research, recognised charities, national institutions and primary historical or religious texts.
- Spiritual ideas are described as traditions or beliefs, not as proven facts. Where research is weak, mixed or absent, the guide says so.
- Moon dates are calculated with a published astronomical algorithm and cross-checked against a public source.
What the guides are not
Nothing in the journal is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and no guide promises an outcome. Where a topic touches on health, grief or mental wellbeing, the guide points to qualified help such as your GP, NHS 111, Samaritans (116 123) or Cruse Bereavement Support.
Independence and links
There are no paid placements or affiliate links. Links to services on this site are there to help readers who want to go further, and are clearly part of the academy's own offer.
Corrections
If you spot an error or a source that no longer supports a claim, please get in touch through the contact page. Corrections are made promptly and the page's updated date changes when the content does.
