I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher in London, and the founder of The Butterfly Academy of Psychics. I offer one-to-one intuitive coaching and psychic readings in person in London and on Zoom, and I teach psychic development courses and private tuition to students who want to learn to trust their own intuition.
People come to me for many reasons. More and more, they are women, founders, entrepreneurs and business owners who want a clearer, calmer way of making decisions and the confidence to act on them. Others are intuitive seekers who have always sensed more than they could easily explain, and everyone is welcome. I want the academy to be London's warm, supportive sanctuary for all of them: a professional space that combines intuitive insight with practical business and personal guidance, where you can be honest about what you're carrying and leave with a clearer sense of your next step.
How I became a psychic medium
My path began with vivid dreams, some of which felt prophetic, and with spiritual visitations that I couldn't simply explain away.
The turning point came after my father passed. A visitation dream came to me, and it confirmed what I had been sensing for some time: that this work was my calling. It's one of the reasons I treat mediumship with such care. I know from the inside how much a sense of connection can mean when you're grieving.
Later, I faced an unexpected health challenge. It became a catalyst for healing and rebirth, and for a return to my soul purpose. I don't share this to make it sound neat, because change rarely is. I share it because it shapes how I sit with clients who are going through their own periods of upheaval, and why I never rush anyone through theirs.
Professional training as a psychic medium and Reiki Master
I'm a professionally trained Psychic Medium. Formal training matters to me. It gives the work structure and discipline, and it holds you to standards of ethics and care that every client deserves. It also shapes how I teach: carefully, with discernment and with plenty of supervised practice, so students build skills that last.
I'm also a certified Reiki Master Practitioner. Energy healing sits naturally alongside my readings, and my longer and in-person sessions can include energetic realignment as part of the work. Reiki is a complementary practice. Many people find it calming and restorative, and it never replaces medical care. Healing sessions are available alongside my coaching and readings, and we can talk about them at the free consultation.
From banking and social care to intuitive work
Before the academy, I held leadership roles in Banking and Social Care. Those worlds might seem a long way from mediumship, but I draw on them every day. Banking demands clarity, structure and respect for people's time and money. Social care asks for patience, steadiness and the ability to stay present with someone during some of the hardest moments of their life.
That senior corporate leadership background is also why so much of my work today is with women in business, founders, leaders and teams. I understand pressure, deadlines and decisions with real consequences. When I bring intuition into that setting, through one-to-one intuitive coaching or a workshop for a team, I keep it practical and grounded. Intuition should help you think more clearly. It should never replace good judgement.
How I work as a psychic medium: warm, ethical and grounded
My readings use psychic insight, oracle cards and energy awareness. We might look at relationship patterns, life direction, a career shift, confidence or an emotional block that keeps returning. My aim is to give you clarity, reassurance and practical next steps you can actually take once the session ends.
A few principles guide everything I do:
- Guidance, not guarantees. I share what I receive honestly, but I never promise outcomes, and nobody can guarantee who will come through in a mediumship reading.
- Clear, published prices. You'll know the cost before you book, and the first conversation is free.
- Time for your questions. I explain what I'm picking up and make sure you have room to ask about it.
- No fear and no pressure. I don't make frightening predictions, and I never push anyone to book again.
- Knowing the limits. Readings offer guidance and reflection. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

The Butterfly Academy and the meaning of the butterfly
The butterfly sits at the heart of the academy because every butterfly begins with the courage to transform. A caterpillar can't see what it will become. It has to trust the process, rest in the dark for a while and emerge when it's ready. That is how real change feels for most of the people I work with, and it's how it felt for me.
The academy exists to give people a safe place for that change. Alongside readings and healing, I teach psychic development courses across three structured levels, as live group training or privately one to one, and I offer private tuition for anyone who wants to develop at their own pace.
For deeper, longer-term work, my Butterfly Transformation Packages run from The Larva Foundation to The Butterfly Flight VIP Experience. They combine intuitive coaching, energy work and bespoke strategy, and every one begins with a Clarity Session so the work is shaped around you.
As a teacher I'm supportive and kind, and I'm also firm. Students practise properly, learn discernment and are encouraged to get their ego out of the way so they can connect clearly with Spirit. Some have joined my Psychic Circle, and others have come to weekly practical sessions connecting with source and their spirit guides.
