You can have a psychic reading from Croydon on Zoom at home, or sit with me in London at a time we've booked, with the exact meeting point emailed to you. East Croydon makes the trip quick: fast Southern trains reach Victoria, and Thameslink reaches London Bridge, in around 15 minutes.
Plenty of people in Croydon would still rather stay put and join me on Zoom. Both work, and this page is about helping you choose.
I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher. I offer readings, intuitive coaching and mediumship to people living right across the borough, from the tower blocks around the town centre to the quieter roads of Purley, Coulsdon and Selsdon. There's no public address for my practice.
Croydon's self-employed and the weight of deciding alone
Croydon has a big community of people who work for themselves. Sole traders and contractors, people running online shops from a back bedroom in Thornton Heath, hair and beauty professionals, tradespeople, consultants who used to commute to the City and now work from a desk at home. Around East Croydon and the Boxpark end of town, you see a lot of small ventures getting started.
The common thread in that kind of working life is isolation. Being your own boss sounds freeing, and it often is, but it also means the worries come home with you and sit at the kitchen table long after the laptop is closed. When you're self-employed, every decision lands on you: which client to drop, whether to raise prices, when to hire, whether to keep going at all. There's often nobody to think it through with who doesn't have a stake in the answer.
That's where my ongoing intuitive coaching for business owners helps. Our regular sessions, mostly over Zoom, tackle the practical question in front of you alongside what your instinct has been signalling. Having led teams in both banking and social care, I'm at home with both the commercial side and the human side of running something. Coaching and readings are guidance for reflection. They're not a substitute for professional financial, legal, medical or psychological advice, and I'll say clearly when an accountant or adviser is the right next call.
I am normally resistant to give 5 star ratings, but I have truly been moved by Michelle's guidance.

Zoom or a train from East Croydon: comparing the options
Because the borough is so large, the right format often depends on which end of it you live in. Someone near East or West Croydon station can be in central London quickly. Someone in New Addington or on the Surrey edge beyond Coulsdon has a longer trip just to reach the station, perhaps a tram or a bus before the train even begins. Over a year of sessions, that difference adds up. This table sets the two side by side.
| On Zoom from home | In person in London | |
|---|---|---|
| 30-minute reading | £75 | £100 |
| 60-minute reading | £135 | £160 |
| Getting there | No travel at all | Around 15 minutes by fast train from East Croydon, plus the onward trip |
| Best for | Purley, Coulsdon, Selsdon and anyone short of time | People who like to step out of their usual surroundings |
| Privacy | Your own room, your own pace | A quiet, one-to-one setting arranged for you |
There's also the Clarity Trilogy at £191.25 for a block of three half-hour Zoom sessions, which suits people working through a longer process, like closing one business and opening another. You can read more about how online readings from home work if you've never had one before.
What if I live at the far end of Croydon, in New Addington or Coulsdon?
Zoom is usually the better choice from the edges of the borough, because the tram or bus to East Croydon can take as long as the train itself. New Addington relies on Tramlink to reach the town centre, and Coulsdon and Purley have fewer fast services than East Croydon, so a half-hour reading in London can swallow most of a morning once every leg is added up.
If you would still like to sit face to face, travel after the morning peak, when the trains are quieter, and give yourself a cushion either side. When work or family plans change, rearrange through your booking email. And if getting away keeps proving hard, a run of Zoom sessions with the occasional London appointment is a sensible middle way.
What a psychic reading covers
Each reading draws on my psychic sense, the oracle cards I lay out and whatever I feel in your energy. Nothing is delivered from on high: I put what I notice into everyday words, you tell me whether it fits, and between us it becomes a proper two-way exchange. First-timers are often surprised by how calm and ordinary it feels. My page on readings across London goes into the different lengths.
The questions that suit a reading are often very grounded:
- Is it time to leave a secure job and go self-employed
- Why does the same relationship pattern keep returning
- Should we move further out to Surrey or stay near family in Norbury
- How do I rebuild confidence after a business or relationship hasn't worked
I don't make your decisions for you. A good reading clears enough fog for you to see your own answer, and leaves you with a couple of steps you can actually take this week. You might book a single session, or come back every few months as a business grows or a family situation shifts.
Mediumship and hearing from loved ones
Croydon is a borough of big, close families, many with roots in the Caribbean, South Asia, West Africa and Ireland, as well as households who have been in Croydon for generations. When someone who held a family together passes, the loss ripples outward. Some people come to me hoping to feel connected again.
A mediumship reading is handled gently. I describe what I receive from Spirit, small details included, and you decide what makes sense. I'm always honest that no one can guarantee who will come through. Often there is comfort even when the connection isn't the one you expected. I also keep the pace gentle, because grief has its own timing, and I'd rather a sitting feel kind than rushed.
Michelle is amazing, and so in tune with her guides. My reading was incredibly accurate and gave me much clarity.

Booking your first session
If you're not sure what you need, the best place to begin is my free Intuitive Clarity Consultation. We talk for 20 minutes over Zoom without any reading taking place, which gives us a chance to work out whether a reading, coaching or development training would serve you best. I'm available 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, which helps if you run your own business and weekdays fill up fast.
Croydon has always been a place where people get on with things, and a reading should match that: practical, honest and ready for an honest answer back. All clients need to be 18 or over. Booking is online, and if a job overruns or a client changes plans, your confirmation email lets you rearrange the slot without a phone call.
