From Sutton, Cheam, Carshalton or Wallington, a psychic reading with me is easiest on Zoom at home, because the borough has no Tube. Seeing me face to face means a Southern or Thameslink train into London, and I confirm the meeting details when you book. Both give you the same reading.
There isn't a single Tube station anywhere in the borough, and that one practical fact shapes my suggestion: start on Zoom, from home, and come into town later if you want to. I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher, and I have written this page with first-time readers in mind.
Why a Zoom reading makes sense first in Sutton
Sutton is a place of quiet roads, semi-detached houses and long-settled families. People here tend to be private. They don't always want to explain to a partner or a neighbour why they are catching a train up to Victoria, and they would rather not sit in an unfamiliar room for the first time while already feeling nervous.
Practical life plays its part too. Many people in Wallington and Cheam are working parents, carers for an elderly relative, or shift workers at the hospitals nearby, and a round trip into town can swallow half a day. A Zoom reading fits into a gap between school drop-off and the supermarket, or into a quiet Sunday afternoon when the house is empty. Your evening carries on as normal afterwards, with no explanations required.
A reading on Zoom removes all of that. You sit in your own chair, with the door closed and your phone on silent, and I join you on screen. I see your face, you see mine, and the reading unfolds in exactly the way it would if we were together. My page on how readings on Zoom work explains the set-up in more detail, from testing your camera to finding a room where nobody will knock.
For a first try, the half-hour Zoom reading at £75 is usually enough to tell you whether this kind of guidance suits you. If it does, the Clarity Trilogy bundles three half-hour Zoom sessions for £191.25, a sensible choice when a situation is still moving and you would like to come back to it twice more.
Your first psychic reading, step by step
Nerves are normal, and I'd much rather you told me you were nervous than tried to hide it. Here is roughly how a first reading with me goes:
- We say hello and I explain, briefly, how I work: psychic insight, oracle cards and a sense of your energy.
- I ask you not to tell me your whole story. Your first name, and perhaps the one area of life that keeps you awake, gives me all I need.
- I share what comes through, card by card and impression by impression, and check that it makes sense to you.
- We leave time at the end for your questions and for any practical next steps.
People in Cheam village and around Wallington tend to bring everyday but weighty things: a marriage that has gone quiet, a grown-up child who has moved away, a job they have outgrown. Nothing is too small. One gentle reminder: what I offer is intuitive guidance, so please treat it as not a substitute for your doctor, a therapist, a solicitor or a financial adviser. Bookings are for adults, 18 or over.
This was my first experience having any form of psychic reading… as soon as I arrived I was put at ease.

Mediumship for grief that surfaces by the water
Carshalton has a particular stillness around its ponds, with Honeywood standing at the water's edge and the old village gathered round it. It is the kind of place where people walk to think, and where grief often surfaces on a bench by the water rather than at home.
Some of the people who reach me from Carshalton and Sutton want a mediumship sitting rather than a reading. They have lost a parent, a partner or a friend and want to feel some sense of connection again. In a sitting I tune into whoever in Spirit draws close and pass on what they show me: memories, characteristics, small details that a family recognises. I can't guarantee who will step forward, and I'm honest when nothing clear is coming. You can read about what a mediumship sitting involves before you decide.
If you do book a sitting, it helps to come with an open mind about who might arrive. People are sometimes surprised that the first presence is a great-aunt from a photograph on the mantelpiece rather than the parent they lost last spring. That is still worth hearing, and often the person you hoped for comes forward later in the session. I'll always tell you plainly what I am and am not receiving.
Mediumship and psychic readings are different things, and plenty of people book one when they were really hoping for the other. If you are unsure, the free 20-minute Intuitive Clarity Consultation on Zoom is the place to talk it through. It isn't itself a reading, so there's no pressure, only a conversation.
Which trains run from Sutton to a London reading?
Southern services from Sutton run into Victoria, Thameslink trains from Sutton go through Wimbledon or Mitcham Junction into the City, and Cheam and Wallington stations have Southern trains of their own. I let you know the meeting details when you book, so you can pick whichever line suits. If, after a Zoom session or two, you want to meet in person, a slot after the morning peak is calmer, and Carshalton and Hackbridge residents may find their own stations simpler than Sutton's.
An in-person reading in London costs a little more than Zoom and gives a different feel: some people like the sense of occasion, the walk afterwards and the quiet space we sit in. You'll find the details on my face-to-face readings in London page.

Rest and Reiki in London after a long week
Nonsuch Park, where Henry VIII once built his palace, is where a lot of Sutton and Cheam residents go to clear their heads. If walking there has stopped being enough, energy healing can help. I'm a certified Reiki Master Practitioner, and the session itself is quiet and unhurried: you lie or sit comfortably, clothes on, and I work with your energy to encourage calm. These sessions happen in London only, never on a screen.
Reiki is complementary, and it isn't a replacement for medical care or for anything your GP has recommended. Many people combine it with a reading, especially when they feel worn down as well as confused. My Reiki sessions page explains more, and my wider South London page shows the neighbouring boroughs I cover.
