Watford has one of the quickest routes into London of any Hertfordshire town, so a psychic reading face to face is easy: the fast train from Watford Junction reaches Euston in about 20 minutes, and I email the meeting place once you book. Bushey, Oxhey and Croxley Green residents can equally take a reading on Zoom.
I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher, and I give readings, coaching and private development tuition through The Butterfly Academy of Psychics.
I should be clear about one thing straight away: I don't see anyone in Watford itself. Sessions in the room are always arranged in advance, and every reading also works on Zoom.
Is a morning enough for a London reading from Watford?
Yes, comfortably. Watford is unusual among Hertfordshire towns in having three ways into the capital. The quickest is the main line from Watford Junction to Euston. The Overground runs the slower stopping route to Euston too, calling at Bushey and Harrow and Wealdstone along the way, and the Metropolitan line from Watford and Croxley stations heads in through north-west London towards Baker Street. Most people choose the fast train, because it is so short a hop.
Watford Junction is also where the Overground and the main line meet, so if you live nearer Bushey or Carpenders Park you can pick up the stopping service and change, or simply go all the way in on it if you are not in a hurry.
That short hop changes what an in-person session can be. You can come in on a weekday morning, have your reading, and be back on the platform at Euston before lunch. For a fuller picture of what happens in the room, my page on face-to-face readings in London explains the format and what to bring.
Off-peak fares from Watford Junction start after the morning rush, so a slot from late morning is cheaper as well as calmer. If you work at one of the town's big employers, a day off or a working-from-home day is easier than squeezing a London trip into a lunch hour, and on a day you can't spare at all, Zoom fits.
She puts you totally at ease and answers your questions without you having to ask them.

Staying home: readings on Zoom
Plenty of people prefer not to travel at all, and that is completely fine. A Zoom reading lets you speak to me from the spare room, then go and walk it off along the river Gade in Cassiobury Park, or along the canal towpath, with the thoughts still fresh. Some people find that private walk afterwards is when the reading really settles.
On screen I read in the same way as in person: through my own intuitive impressions, a spread of oracle cards and what comes through in your energy. You do not need any special set-up, only a quiet room, a charged device and a notebook if you like to write things down. My page on readings over Zoom covers the practical details. A 30-minute Zoom session is £75 and an hour is £135; in London the same lengths are £100 and £160.
Big workplaces and the decisions people bring
Watford sits just outside the M25 and has long been a town of large offices and employers, with the film world on the doorstep at Leavesden, where the Harry Potter films were made. A lot of people in and around the town work hard inside big organisations, and that brings its own kind of question. Should I go for the promotion or leave? Is this restructure a door closing or a door opening? Why do I feel flat in a job that looks fine on paper?
Those questions often come up in a single reading, and sometimes they deserve more. For people building their own business, or thinking about stepping out to do so, the one-to-one coaching I offer people who run a business works over several sessions. It gives you room to make a decision, try it in real life and return to see how it sat. I have a particular soft spot for women making that leap, though the coaching is open to anyone.
What a Watford reading might focus on
- A career crossroads: staying, moving within the company or going it alone.
- Relationships at home that have drifted while work took up all the space.
- Confidence, especially after redundancy, a knock-back or a long period of caring for others.
- A sense of direction for the next few years, rather than the next few weeks.
You do not need to arrive with a neat question. Many people start by telling me simply that something feels off, and we find the thread together from there.
Private psychic development tuition, just the two of us
Some people who book a reading leave with a different question entirely: why do I sense things like this, and what do I do with it? If that sounds like you, private development tuition may suit you better than a group. It is one-to-one, shaped around where you are now, and it moves at your pace.
In these sessions we work on trusting what you receive, noticing the difference between intuition and anxiety, clearing the blocks that make you second-guess yourself, and finding a grounded, confident way to use your gifts. My page on one-to-one development tuition describes how it is structured. Because it can all happen on Zoom, the Euston timetable never needs to come into it.
If you would like company on the path, my structured courses offer the same grounding in a live group, with three levels to work through. Some people begin privately and join a group later, once they feel steadier in what they receive. I will tell you honestly at the consultation which route I think suits you, and when the next group is due to start.
Joining her Psychic Circle was a great investment in my own spirituality.

Booking from Watford, Bushey or Croxley Green
The best first step is the free Intuitive Clarity Consultation, a 20-minute chat on Zoom. It is not a reading. It is a chance for me to hear where you are emotionally and spiritually, and for us to agree whether a single reading, a series of coaching sessions or private tuition would help most. You will not be pushed into anything.
If you already know what you want, book directly through my online calendar and pick Zoom or London. Your confirmation email carries links to move or drop the appointment, which is handy if the trains are disrupted or work runs over. For other towns across the county, including St Albans and Hemel Hempstead, my Hertfordshire overview sets out the routes in.
Please hold one thing in mind: a reading offers guidance and reflection and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Sessions are open to anyone aged 18 or over.
