Rickmansworth and Chorleywood are well placed for a psychic reading in person: Chiltern Railways trains run straight into Marylebone and the Metropolitan line to Baker Street, with the London meeting details sent after booking. If you would rather stay at home, the same session works on Zoom.
I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher, and The Butterfly Academy of Psychics is my London practice.
So you know where you stand from the start: I don't hold sessions in Rickmansworth, Chorleywood or anywhere else in Three Rivers. Every face-to-face appointment is in London and agreed in advance.
Chiltern or Metropolitan: which train from Rickmansworth to a London reading?
Chiltern is usually quicker, at about 30 minutes to Marylebone, while the Metropolitan line is slower but carries on to Baker Street and the City. Few places outside the capital are as well placed for a face-to-face reading. Chiltern trains run from Rickmansworth and Chorleywood straight into Marylebone, and the Metropolitan line runs from both stations, and from Moor Park, through Harrow-on-the-Hill to Baker Street and on towards the City. You can choose whichever suits the day, and an off-peak morning train is usually quiet enough to gather your thoughts on the way in.
That gathering time matters more than people expect. Coming in from this end of the line, the train ride can be when you finally work out what you want to ask. My face-to-face readings in London last 30 or 60 minutes. I use three tools together: what comes through psychically, the oracle cards you draw, and what your energy tells me while we speak. Book the full hour and we usually close with a short spell of energy healing. In person the fees are £100 for 30 minutes and £160 for an hour.
If your train is held outside Harrow or a connection goes wrong, send me a message. I would much rather start a few minutes late than have you arrive flustered.
I was late getting to my appointment yet she gave me time to get to her and did not rush through the reading.

Zoom readings from a quiet room at home
Staying at home is a perfectly good choice in Three Rivers. Sarratt is a village of lanes and fields with no station of its own, and from Mill End or the far side of Moor Park the walk to a train can take longer than the reading. On Zoom the work is the same as in the room, because my senses don't need us to share a table. Opening up can feel easier in your own chair in Sarratt or Moor Park, with the dog asleep nearby and no train to catch afterwards.
A few small things help a home session go well:
- Shut yourself away somewhere private, and warn the household you are off limits for the half hour or hour.
- Use headphones if the house is noisy or you want more privacy.
- Keep a notebook nearby. People often remember a phrase days later and want to find it again.
- Have a glass of water and give yourself ten quiet minutes afterwards rather than rushing back to emails. If sitting quietly is new to you, my beginner's guide to meditation is a gentle start.
Without me telling her the whole story, she knew it already.

Reiki where three rivers meet
Rickmansworth sits where the Colne, the Gade and the Chess come together alongside the Grand Union Canal, and the Aquadrome's lakes and woodland are where a lot of local people go to walk off a hard week. This is a quiet, nature-minded part of Hertfordshire, and that often shows in the kind of support people ask me for. Some want a reading. Others simply feel drained, wired or out of balance and want something gentler.
I'm a Certified Reiki Master Practitioner, and hands-on Reiki and energy work is meant for exactly that sort of tiredness. You stay fully clothed, usually lying down, while I work with light touch or with my hands just above you. Most people describe warmth, heaviness or a deep calm, and some simply fall asleep. Afterwards we talk about anything that came up, and I may suggest one or two simple grounding habits to take home, such as a slow walk round the Aquadrome without your phone. Healing sessions take place in person in London only, not on Zoom, and we can talk through whether Reiki, a reading or a mix of the two fits you best. Reiki is complementary. It can sit alongside conventional care, but it does not replace medical treatment or your doctor's advice.
Psychic development courses for people who notice things
Some people have always noticed things. A strong sense about someone they have only just met. A dream that turned out to matter. A feeling on Chorleywood Common, out among the heath and the old trees, that they can't quite explain and would like to understand rather than ignore.
You don't need any experience to begin, and you don't need to believe you are gifted. Most beginners arrive unsure whether what they notice is intuition or imagination, and learning to tell the two apart is a large part of the early work. It is careful, practical study, closer to learning an instrument than to anything dramatic.
If that sounds familiar, my structured development courses are built for it. There are three levels, each taught live in a group, and if a group setting doesn't suit you, the same material can be worked through with me privately. We work on building intuition, deepening your connection to Spirit, discernment, and mediumship for those who want it, in a setting that feels safe. Syllabus details and the date of the next intake get covered on our free call, so you can say yes, or not yet, with everything laid out in front of you.
Booking your first session from Rickmansworth or Chorleywood
If you can't decide between a reading, Reiki or a course, the free Intuitive Clarity Consultation is a sensible first step. It is a 20-minute Zoom conversation, held before any reading, to help us see together which kind of session would serve you now. The academy's hours are 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, so a Saturday morning slot before a walk along the canal is easy to arrange. For towns further across the county, the wider Hertfordshire guide may help.
A gentle word of care to finish. A session with me can offer perspective and support, but it is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and I only work with clients aged 18 or over.
