You can have a psychic reading from Kingston on Zoom at home, or go up to London for a booked session, with the meeting details emailed after you reserve a slot. There's no Tube in Kingston, so meeting in person means a South Western Railway train to Waterloo, with the fastest services leaving from Surbiton.

Early on a weekday in Kingston, the market traders are setting out their stalls in the old Market Place, students are cutting through towards the university, and the Thames slides past under Kingston Bridge as it has done since the Saxon kings were crowned here. It's a town that has always been a crossing point, and many of the people who look for a psychic in Kingston are at a crossing point of their own. I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher, and I offer readings and psychic development teaching to people from Kingston, Surbiton, New Malden and Tolworth.

If the trip doesn't suit, every reading can happen from your flat, your halls or your kitchen table.

Learning to read for yourself: psychic development step by step

A university town is full of people who like to learn, and that curiosity often extends to intuition. Some come to me after years of strong hunches, déjà vu or dreams that turned out to mean something. Others have had a reading and walked away thinking, "I want to understand how that works." Both are good starting points.

My structured psychic development courses run in three stages. Most people join a live group, though a few prefer to work through the same stages with me privately. Students build self-trust first, then sharpen each psychic sense in turn, learn to tell genuine impressions from wishful thinking, and form a working connection with Spirit. Those who feel the pull can go on into mediumship. I'm warm with students and also firm about discipline: grounding, protection and ethics come first, every time. When we have our free consultation I walk you through what each level currently covers and when a group is next starting, so nothing comes as a surprise.

I am normally resistant to give 5 star ratings, but I have truly been moved by Michelle's guidance.

A typical group session moves between short teaching, guided exercises and practice readings with a partner, followed by honest feedback. You will read for people you have never met, which is nerve-racking at first and then oddly freeing. Many students find the hardest part is getting their own expectations out of the way, and that is exactly what we practise.

If you're a student at Kingston University, please bear in mind that you need to be 18 or over to work with me, and that development is a slow, steady practice. It sits well alongside a degree, but it isn't something to cram before an exam.

Psychic readings for commuters on the Waterloo line

Surbiton has a reputation as the classic commuter suburb, with its Art Deco station and fast trains to Waterloo, and Tolworth is much the same story a little further out. People who live this way often find their weeks blur together. They know something needs to change, at work, at home or in themselves, but there is never a quiet moment to hear what it is.

A reading creates that quiet moment. Between the cards I turn over and the impressions that come to me about you, a picture forms of what has been going on under the commuting and the to-do lists, and then we work out a realistic next move together. Common themes from commuters are:

  • staying in a secure job versus taking a risk on something that matters more;
  • relationships that have drifted into routine;
  • a sense of having lost touch with who they were before the mortgage and the 7am train.

You can read about my in-person readings in the capital, or choose a reading over Zoom and skip the platform entirely. Please hold what I tell you as guidance: it is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and if a topic plainly needs a GP, counsellor or solicitor, I will tell you that honestly.

Afterwards, a lot of people like to walk. The towpath towards Canbury Gardens or the gates into Richmond Park are good places to let a reading settle before you go back to emails and the school run. I always suggest writing down anything that stood out within a day, while it is still fresh.

New Malden, Korean families and honouring your own traditions

New Malden is known across London for its Korean community, its restaurants and supermarkets, and the mix of languages you hear on the high street. Many cultures, Korean among them, have their own long traditions around ancestors, dreams and spiritual guidance, and people sometimes worry that a Western-style reading will ask them to put those beliefs aside.

It won't. You are welcome to bring your own understanding into the session, and I'll work with it respectfully. If someone in your family sees things differently, that's fine too. The session is a private conversation between the two of us, and you decide what, if anything, you tell your family about it.

I felt this energy of comfort and ease… positive guidance and insightful messages.

How do I keep a Zoom reading private in a shared house in Kingston?

Book a time when your housemates are out, wear headphones, and if the walls are thin, find a quiet corner elsewhere, even the car, rather than your bedroom. Plenty of students and young professionals in Kingston and Surbiton share houses, and nobody else needs to hear what comes up in a reading.

Weekday mornings tend to be quietest in a shared house, and the calendar runs from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, so you can work round lectures or a part-time shift. Keep your phone on silent and your laptop plugged in. If someone walks in halfway through, just pause; we can carry on once the door is shut again.

Kingston upon Thames to Waterloo: planning an in-person session

There is no Tube in Kingston, so the trains do the work. South Western Railway runs from Kingston, Surbiton, Berrylands, Tolworth and New Malden into Waterloo, with the fastest services leaving from Surbiton. Since the details of where we meet arrive with your booking confirmation, you can plan your connection from Waterloo once you know them. I'd suggest avoiding the busiest commuter trains if you can; arriving unhurried, with ten minutes to sit and breathe, makes a real difference to how much you take in.

If you run your own business in Kingston, a freelance practice in Surbiton or a growing company near the river, you might find coaching more useful than a one-off reading. My coaching for people who run their own businesses helps you make decisions with your intuition and your evidence working together. I bring my own senior leadership background from banking and social care to those sessions.

Whichever service you're drawn to, the first step is the free Intuitive Clarity Consultation. It's 20 minutes on Zoom, and rather than giving you a reading, I listen to where you are and suggest whether a reading, a course or coaching would serve you best. Psychic Readings in Kingston upon Thames: FAQs

Can students at Kingston University join a psychic development course?

Yes, as long as you're 18 or over. My courses are live group training across three structured levels, and they can also be taught one to one. Development asks for regular practice and a grounded attitude, so I'd suggest talking it through at the free consultation first, where I can explain what each level involves and when the next group begins, and help you decide if the timing suits your studies.

How long does it take to get from Surbiton to an in-person reading?

It depends on where in London we meet, which I confirm when you book, but the train is the main leg. Fast South Western Railway services from Surbiton reach Waterloo quickly, and Kingston and New Malden have direct trains too. If you'd rather avoid the trip altogether, staying home in Surbiton and reading over Zoom is cheaper and every bit as thorough.

Is a Zoom reading or an in-person reading better for someone in Kingston?

Both work well, so it mostly comes down to how you feel and how busy your week is. Zoom suits people in Kingston who want privacy at home or have little spare time, while an in-person session in London suits those who like to mark the occasion and step out of their routine. The insight itself comes through in the same way.

Can I learn mediumship if I live in New Malden or Tolworth?

Yes. Mediumship is part of the later stages of my psychic development teaching, and it can also be explored in private one-to-one tuition. We build the foundations first, including grounding, protection and discernment, before working with Spirit directly. Like any practice it takes patience, and nobody, me included, can say in advance who will make themselves known in a particular sitting.
