Living in Hackney, you can sit with a psychic medium face to face, booked as a London appointment with directions sent once it is confirmed, or over Zoom from your flat or co-working desk. From Dalston, Hackney Central or Shoreditch the trip in is short, so both options are realistic.
This page is for the people of Hackney who are building something: the founder running a young company a few streets from Old Street, the freelance designer juggling three clients from a flat in Dalston, the Hoxton maker wondering whether to go full time. I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher. As a psychic medium working with Hackney people, I spend less time predicting the future and more time helping you hear your own judgement clearly again.
The academy has no public address, and I don't see anyone in Hackney itself. Everything I offer can also run on Zoom, which suits anyone whose laptop is already their office.
Intuitive coaching for Shoreditch and Hoxton founders
Shoreditch has its own kind of pressure. Everyone around you seems to be raising money, launching, pivoting or posting about it, and it gets hard to tell which decisions are truly yours and which you're making because the room expects them. Founders rarely lack information. What they're missing is a quiet place to check all that information against their gut.
My ongoing intuitive coaching for business owners is built for exactly that. We pick apart the decision facing you, perhaps a co-founder split, a first senior hire, a product you've fallen out of love with or a price rise you keep putting off, and I combine intuitive insight with practical strategy. My own working life began in management, in banks and then in the social care sector, and that taught me a great deal about budgets, teams and how lonely it gets when yours is the final signature.
Coaching tends to work best as a series rather than a one-off, because intuition is a skill. Over a few months you learn to tell the difference between fear, excitement and a genuine knowing, and you start using that in investor meetings and team stand-ups as well as in our sessions.
Creative blocks and the Hackney freelance life
Hackney's creative community runs on freelance work, and freelance work runs on confidence. When a block arrives it rarely stays inside the work. It leaks into how you pitch, how you price yourself and whether you answer the email from the client you secretly want to let go.
In a reading or coaching session I look at what is sitting underneath the block. Sometimes it's an old habit of waiting for permission. Sometimes it's exhaustion that has been mislabelled as laziness. Sometimes it's a real signal that a chapter is ending. I describe what I pick up in plain English, and then we agree one or two small, real steps for the week ahead, which might be as simple as a long walk along the Regent's Canal to think, or the conversation you've been avoiding.
Plenty of creatives enjoy oracle card readings for this, because the imagery on the cards gives the mind something to hold. A single card can stay with you long after the session and nudge you when you're back at your desk.
Psychic development for curious seekers
Stoke Newington has long had a wellbeing-minded crowd: people who already meditate, who walk through Abney Park or Clissold Park to clear their heads, and who suspect they pick up more about others than they let on. If that sounds like you, learning to work with your intuition safely is a natural next step.
Three levels of live group training make up my structured psychic development courses, and anyone who prefers privacy can cover that material with me alone. Along the way you build intuition and psychic ability, learn how you connect with Spirit, sharpen your discernment and begin mediumship, and the group stays a kind, nurturing place to make mistakes. Bring it up during the free consultation and you'll hear what each level currently covers and roughly when the next intake opens.
I'm warm as a teacher, and I'm also firm. Development asks for discipline, grounding and the ability to switch off at the end of a session, which matters when you live somewhere as busy and noisy as E8 or N16.
Michelle is a wonderful and powerful teacher. She creates an encouraging and beautiful environment to follow your intuition and lean into this path.

How easy is it to see a psychic medium in person from Hackney?
Usually very easy. The Overground runs through Dalston, Hackney Central, Homerton and Hoxton, and for Shoreditch you have Old Street on the Northern line and Liverpool Street close by. When you book, I confirm where we'll meet in London and send clear directions.
Even so, Zoom often fits Hackney life better. If you work from home or a shared workspace, a 30-minute session can slot between calls and you don't lose an hour on the train. A Zoom reading is £75 for 30 minutes or £135 for 60 minutes, and an in-person session in London is £100 or £160. The energy reads the same either way. A late-morning slot misses the packed Overground through Dalston Junction, and if a pitch or a client deadline lands on the same day, rearrange through your confirmation email rather than squeezing the session in. If what draws you is the visual side of psychic work, my page on clairvoyant sessions in London explains how images and impressions come through.
Trains do let people down. If you're delayed on the way to an in-person reading, let me know rather than panicking, because I don't rush the time we have together.
I was late getting to my appointment yet she gave me time to get to her and did not rush through the reading.

What a first session with a founder or creative looks like
Most people begin with the free Intuitive Clarity Consultation, which takes twenty minutes over Zoom. We won't be doing a reading in those twenty minutes. You tell me what's going on, I ask a few questions, and together we decide whether you'd be better served by coaching, a single reading or a course. Nobody is pushed into booking anything afterwards.
Once you book a reading, I draw on psychic insight, a spread of oracle cards and the energy you arrive carrying, then turn all of it towards whatever is on your mind: relationships, direction, confidence, the cash-flow worry that keeps you up at night, or that restless sense of having outgrown something. You leave with clarity and a couple of practical next steps you can act on by Monday.
A few honest notes. You need to be 18 or over to book. My readings and coaching are guidance, and they are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, so keep your accountant, GP or therapist involved in those decisions. For the boroughs next door, from Tower Hamlets to Newham, my East London page has the wider picture.
