Stevenage gives you two routes to a psychic reading with me: a Zoom call at your kitchen table, which is the easy one, or a face-to-face session in London, a quick train ride away. For London sessions I send the meeting point once you've booked.
My name is Michelle Virtue, and I am a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher. Nothing takes place in Stevenage itself.
The rest of this page tries to answer the things a practical person would want to know before booking, in the order they usually come up. Stevenage was the first of Britain's post-war New Towns, planned from scratch with a pedestrian town centre and neighbourhoods laid out around it, and I have tried to lay this page out with the same logic: clear sections, no detours.
What a reading is, and is not, for practical minds
Stevenage has a strong engineering and science tradition, with aerospace, technology and research employers around the town. People who work in those fields tend to want evidence, a clear method and no flannel. I respect that, and I think it makes for better readings.
So, plainly: a reading is a structured conversation in which I combine intuitive impressions, a few oracle cards and what I sense energetically around you, then reflect back what that shows about your situation. It is not a prediction engine and I do not hand down fixed outcomes. What it can do is show you patterns you have been too close to see, put words to something you already half know, and give you a few clear next steps. You are welcome to be sceptical, and if you want the arguments on both sides first, read my piece on whether psychics are real.
It also helps to know what a reading is not for. It cannot diagnose an illness, it cannot stand in for a financial adviser, and it should never leave you frightened. Keeping to those limits protects you, and it keeps the session on what a reading does well: perspective, clarity and confidence. Bring your questions, test what I say against your own experience, and keep what is useful.
I loved Michelle's warmth and empathy and it was clear very quickly that she was accurately reading my energy.

Career decisions in engineering and science
The most common reason a practical person books a reading is a decision that logic alone has not settled. Two job offers that look equal on a spreadsheet. A redundancy package that might be a gift or a trap. A contract role versus a permanent one. A long programme at work coming to an end and no obvious next project. A pull towards setting up on your own after years as someone else's specialist.
In a reading we look at the energy around each option and at what is holding you back from choosing. If the question is bigger than one session, for example you are building a consultancy or leading a small firm, my ongoing intuitive coaching gives you regular sessions to make a choice, try it, and review. Years spent in leadership roles, in banking and afterwards in social care, mean I understand budgets, deadlines and people management from the inside. I enjoy supporting women in technical fields who are stepping into leadership, and the coaching is open to anyone.
How a Stevenage session runs, step by step
Knowing the process in advance takes away most of the nerves. Here is what happens:
- Optional free consultation. A 20-minute Intuitive Clarity Consultation on Zoom to establish what you would like help with. It is not a reading, and you are under no obligation afterwards.
- Booking. You choose Zoom or London and a 30 or 60-minute slot in my online calendar. On Zoom it costs £75 or £135; in London it is £100 or £160.
- Before we start. Find a quiet room, close other apps, and write down anything you would like to ask. You do not need to tell me your whole story.
- The reading. I tune in, lay out cards, and explain each impression in plain English. You can ask questions at any point.
- Afterwards. We finish with practical next steps. Many people find it helps to write notes the same evening, while it is fresh.
If you want to see how the online version works in more detail, I have written a separate guide to Zoom readings from home.
Mediumship when you have lost someone close
Not every question is about work. If you live in Stevenage, Shephall or the Old Town and have lost someone close, whether a parent, partner or friend, you may be hoping for some sign that they are all right. A mediumship reading is where I open to Spirit and pass on whatever comes through, whether that is a memory, a turn of phrase, a description or a message.
I will be as honest about this as about everything else. No one can guarantee who will come through, and on some days the connection is clearer than others. I tell you exactly what I am getting and I do not dress it up. I also offer healing sessions, including soul restoration healing, for people who feel weighed down rather than in need of a message; healing of this kind is complementary, and it does not replace your GP or any medical treatment.
Michelle provided a safe, reassuring session that enabled me to address issues that are preventing me from reaching my full potential.

Can I fit a London reading into a half-day from Stevenage?
Yes, comfortably, because Stevenage is well placed for London. Great Northern trains run to King's Cross and Thameslink to St Pancras, with the fastest taking about 25 minutes, so an in-person session can fit around a half-day off. If you live out towards Knebworth, with its great house and park just south of the town, Knebworth station is one stop down the line. Leave a few minutes spare for the last leg across London, since punctual and unhurried is the best way to begin. A late-morning train is quieter than the commuter rush, and if a shift pattern, a project deadline or childcare makes even a half-day hard to free up, a Zoom session at lunchtime does the same job.
For anyone comparing routes from other towns along the A1(M), such as Hitchin or Welwyn Garden City, my overview for Hertfordshire lists how each one connects.
Finally, two plain points. Everything I do is spiritual guidance and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. And all clients must be 18 or over.
