A psychic reading from Bedford is easy to arrange, and for most people the simplest route is a Zoom session at home. If you would rather meet in person, that means coming into London: the fastest trains to St Pancras take about 40 minutes, and the meeting details are confirmed when you book.
On a still evening, the Embankment in Bedford belongs to rowers, swans and people walking off the day beside the Great Ouse. It is often on walks like that, with the suspension bridge ahead and the water moving slowly, that someone starts thinking about a person they have lost, or a question they have carried for months. If you live in Bedford and you are thinking about a psychic reading or mediumship, this page explains how I can help and how sessions work from here.
I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher. Everything I do is run from London; there is no room or venue in Bedford itself.
Mediumship for Bedford families and their loved ones
Bedford is a town of many cultures and faiths. Families with Italian roots, many going back to the people who came after the Second World War to work in the brickworks, live alongside communities from South Asia, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and beyond. Every one of those traditions has its own ways of remembering the dead, and I hold them all with respect. In a mediumship reading I don't ask you to set your beliefs aside. I simply share what I receive and let you decide what it means.
In a mediumship reading with me, I tune in, describe what I'm given and check each detail with you. I'll always tell you honestly that no one can guarantee who will come through. A grandmother may arrive when you expected a father, or the reading may turn towards guidance for the living. Whatever comes, I go gently, and there is space at the end for questions.
I felt this energy of comfort and ease… positive guidance and insightful messages.
Christopher Edwards
Grief can also cross generations and languages. If an older relative only ever spoke to you in Italian or Punjabi, or you lost someone overseas, that's fine: Spirit communicates through impressions, feelings and images as much as words, and I'll describe what I pick up as clearly as I can.
Zoom readings from Kempston, Biddenham and Sharnbrook
For most people in and around Bedford, Zoom is the practical choice. A video call from home in Kempston or Biddenham, or from a village out towards Sharnbrook, saves a trip to the station and lets you stay somewhere familiar, which matters a great deal when the subject is grief. My readings over Zoom run just as they would in person: I work with the cards and with what I sense around you, and I keep the language everyday.
Bedford is well known for its schools, and many households here run on a term-time rhythm of drop-offs, matches and parents' evenings. Sessions are available from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, so a weekday morning slot or a quiet Sunday often works well. A 30-minute Zoom reading is £75, and the full hour leaves more space when you are hoping for contact with Spirit and some personal guidance too.
If you have never had a mediumship sitting, you don't need to prepare much. Some people like to have a photograph or a small keepsake beside them, others prefer to come with nothing at all. Please don't tell me the whole story beforehand; it is more meaningful for you if details come through without prompting. Afterwards, give yourself a little quiet time, perhaps a slow walk along the river past the Embankment gardens, before going back to the day.
People bring all kinds of questions besides grief: relationships, a career at a crossroads, a family decision, feeling stuck or unsure of themselves. A reading can help you see the situation from a new angle and go away with a few practical things to try.
Is it worth travelling from Bedford to London for a reading?
It is worth the trip if you want us to be face to face, or if you are in London that day anyway. If neither applies, a Zoom session saves two train journeys and the reading itself is no different.
If you would rather meet face to face, Bedford has fast East Midlands Railway trains to St Pancras, the quickest taking about 40 minutes, and frequent Thameslink services that stop more often along the way. From Kempston or Biddenham it is a short drive or bus ride to Bedford station. The meeting details are emailed after you book, and you can plan the final few minutes from St Pancras then.
An in-person session can be worth the journey if you want to be in the same room, or if you're in London anyway. Read about what a London appointment involves to see if it suits you.
If you do travel, a late-morning or early-afternoon slot is kindest. It misses the busiest commuter trains, leaves room to find where we are meeting calmly, and gets you back to Bedford before the evening rush. If the trip isn't possible, because of health, caring duties or cost, choose Zoom without a second thought: nothing is lost by staying at home.
Developing your own mediumship
John Bunyan began The Pilgrim's Progress while imprisoned in Bedford, and he framed the whole book as a dream. My own path began with vivid, prophetic dreams and spiritual visitations, and when my father passed, a visitation dream told me this was my calling. You may recognise something of yourself in that. Perhaps you have always dreamed vividly or sensed someone close by, and you want to understand it safely.
If that's you, private psychic development tuition means learning with me alone, at a speed that suits you. Together we strengthen self-trust, discernment and a grounded connection to Spirit, with mediumship when you're ready. I also teach structured group courses, and details of the present syllabus and the next start date come up naturally in the free consultation.
Joining her Psychic Circle was a great investment in my own spirituality.
Assunta French
The University of Bedfordshire has a campus in the town, and some younger adults find their way to this work while studying or just after. Anyone aged 18 or over is welcome to learn, and I am as careful with a new student's confidence as with their technique.
Assunta describes being coached to strengthen her connection to Spirit and keep her ego out of the way, which is very much how I teach.
A gentle first step, with no pressure to book
If you're unsure whether you want a reading, mediumship or to start learning, start with the free 20-minute Intuitive Clarity Consultation, which happens on Zoom. We talk, I listen, and together we work out which kind of session suits you; there is no reading in it. For the wider county, including Luton and the towns along the railway, see my Bedfordshire page.
Please know that my readings and mediumship are for adults aged 18 or over, and that they offer comfort and guidance rather than treatment. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and if grief feels too heavy to carry, your GP or a bereavement service can help alongside our work.
