A psychic reading from Barking or Dagenham can happen in two ways: over Zoom from your own sofa, or in person in London by appointment, where the meeting place is shared once your booking is made. If cost matters to you, Zoom is the simpler choice, because it saves the fare and the time.
Finding out whether a reading is right for you doesn't have to cost a penny. My free Intuitive Clarity Consultation lasts twenty minutes on Zoom, and it's the natural first step for anyone in Barking and Dagenham. I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher, and if you live in Barking or Dagenham and want a reader who will talk to you plainly and kindly, this page is for you.
Starting small from Barking: free chat, then 30 minutes
Money is tight for a lot of working families, and nobody should feel pressured into spending more than they're comfortable with. So here is the honest ladder, from the cheapest step up:
- The free consultation. Twenty minutes on Zoom. I don't read for you; we simply talk about what's going on and what, if anything, would help.
- A 30-minute Zoom reading. £75, from your own home, with no travel costs. Long enough for one or two clear questions.
- A 60-minute session. £135 on Zoom, or £160 face to face in London, if you'd like time for the bigger picture. A half-hour in person is £100.
Half an hour on Zoom is usually plenty for a first go. My page on readings over Zoom explains how to set up, and you'll want to be 18 or over to book.
This was my first experience having any form of psychic reading… as soon as I arrived I was put at ease.

Straight talking, kindly put
Becontree was built between the wars as one of the biggest council estates anywhere, and generations of Dagenham families have grown up in its long rows of houses. People round here don't tend to have much patience for vague talk or mystical waffle, and I don't blame them.
In a psychic reading with me, I say what I'm getting in ordinary language. I use psychic insight, oracle cards and a feel for your energy, and then we talk about what it means for real life: the partner who won't commit, the job that's grinding you down, the sister you haven't spoken to since the funeral, the nagging fear that you're not doing right by your kids. If something comes through that's hard to hear, I'll tell you gently, and I'll also tell you what you can do about it.
A reading is guidance, nothing more mysterious than that. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, so if you're dealing with debt, housing problems or your health, please speak to the right service as well. I'd rather you had both.
You also don't need to dress up, bring anything or know the right words. Come as you are, after a shift or with the kids finally in bed, and we'll start with whatever's sitting heaviest. If you cry, that's fine. If you laugh, that's fine too. Plenty of good readings have both.
New homes, new chapters at Barking Riverside
Down by the Thames, Barking Riverside has gone from empty land to a whole new neighbourhood, with its own Overground station at the end of the line. If you've moved there recently, you may be dealing with more than boxes: a new relationship, a first home, a baby on the way, or the odd loneliness of living somewhere where nobody yet knows your name.
Big moves stir things up. A reading can help you see what you've brought with you, what you're ready to leave behind and where your energy wants to go next. People settling into somewhere new often find the Clarity Trilogy useful: three half-hour Zoom readings bundled together for less, spaced out so you book each follow-up once the previous one is done, so you can check in again once the dust settles.
Longer-standing Barking residents are living through the change too. Watching the riverside fill with new flats while familiar faces move further out into Essex can leave people unsettled in ways that are hard to explain. That feeling is worth paying attention to, and a reading is a safe place to put it into words.
Should I pick Zoom or a London appointment from Barking?
Pick Zoom if your week is packed or money is tight, and pick a London appointment if being in the room together matters to you. The reading covers the same ground either way; what changes is how it fits round your day.
- Shift work and school runs. Sessions run from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, so a Zoom slot between a night shift and the afternoon pickup is realistic. Give yourself ten quiet minutes first rather than logging on straight off the bus.
- Travelling in. From Barking, c2c trains, the District and Hammersmith & City lines and the Overground all head towards central London. Leave a margin on top of the train time so you arrive settled and check the route the evening before.
- If you can't travel. Mobility, childcare or a tight budget are all good reasons to stay put. A Zoom reading from Becontree or Barking Riverside is the same reading, and you can move the time from your confirmation email if the day changes.
Mediumship for households missing someone
Loss hits hard in close families, and in Barking and Dagenham many families are close. During a psychic medium reading, there's room for someone you've lost to come forward in Spirit with something you'll recognise, like a saying they always used, a song, or the way they'd tease you.
I won't promise what I can't deliver. No one can guarantee who will come through, and a good medium is honest about that. What I'll give you is a calm, unhurried sitting where you can ask questions and take a breath when you need to. After my own father passed, a visitation dream confirmed my calling, so I know how much these moments matter.
If grief is making daily life hard, please talk to your GP as well. Mediumship can comfort, but it shouldn't be the only support you have.
Private tuition at your own pace
Some people in a reading recognise something in themselves: dreams that come true, knowing who's ringing before the phone lights up, feeling a room's mood the second they walk in. If that's you, private psychic development tuition gives you one-to-one time with me to explore it, fitted round work, school runs and family.
Tuition is tailored to you. Newcomers learn to trust themselves, to ground properly and to notice small impressions; people further along work on blocks, discernment and a steady, grounded way of using their gifts. Sessions can be on Zoom, which saves the fare from Chadwell Heath on the Elizabeth line or Dagenham Heathway on the District line, though both make a trip into London easy enough. I'm kind as a teacher, and I also keep you disciplined.
Group courses are available too, in three structured levels, if you'd enjoy learning alongside others. We can weigh up group or private learning, and what's coming up next, during your free consultation.
A very well orchestrated class. The teacher is very supportive, with lots of love and kindness, at the same time firm and disciplined in the teaching.
