A psychic reading in Camden is simple to arrange, because the borough is so close to the middle of town. We can meet in person in London by appointment, somewhere central that I confirm privately after you book, and from Camden Town, Hampstead or King's Cross that is a short ride. Zoom on your own sofa is the alternative.
I've written this for a pair of quite different readers in Camden and Hampstead: the curious first-timer who has walked past tarot tables at Camden Lock for years and never sat down, and the person who already senses things and wants to understand their own gifts properly. I'm Michelle Virtue, a professionally trained Psychic Medium, Spiritual Coach and Intuitive Teacher. I'm not a psychic on a market stall, and I have no room or venue in Camden itself. What I offer is a careful, ethical reading, or a place to learn.
Camden is a borough of contrasts. The music venues and canal-side crowds of Camden Town sit a short walk from the Georgian streets of Hampstead, the academic calm of Bloomsbury and the rebuilt warehouses and offices around King's Cross. The people it draws are often open-minded, a little sceptical, and keen to understand how something works before they trust it. That suits me, because I like to explain everything as I go.
A first psychic reading for Camden Town newcomers
If you've never had a reading, it helps to know what actually happens. My one-to-one readings in London follow a simple shape:
- A few minutes to settle. I'll ask your first name and whether there's an area you'd like to focus on. You don't need to explain your life story, and you can say nothing at all if you'd prefer.
- The reading itself. I tune into your energy and use psychic insight and oracle cards to describe what I'm picking up around relationships, work, direction or whatever is pressing. I'll tell you what I'm sensing as it comes, including when something isn't clear.
- Your questions. There's time to ask about anything that came up, and to go deeper on the part that matters most.
- Practical next steps. I don't leave people with vague predictions. We finish with something you can actually do, think about or watch for.
First readings bring up nerves for almost everyone. That's normal, and I go at your pace. If you like to read up first, there's a plain guide to what a reading involves in my journal.
This was my first experience having any form of psychic reading… as soon as I arrived I was put at ease.

Should someone in Hampstead or Camden choose Zoom or an in-person reading?
Choose in person if you want to see how I work across a table, and Zoom if your week is crowded or you think best at home. Neither format is the lesser one; they suit different people and different days.
- Curious first-timers. Meeting face to face can take the mystery out of it. From Camden Town or Belsize Park the Northern line makes the trip quick, so a late-morning slot leaves the rest of your day free.
- Students and staff around Bloomsbury. A 30-minute Zoom session fits between lectures or seminars without crossing town.
- King's Cross office hours. A weekend slot on Zoom avoids squeezing a reading into a lunch break that always overruns.
- If you can't travel. Health, caring duties or simply a bad week are all good reasons to stay put. The reading is the same on a screen, and the booking can be moved through your confirmation email.
Readings that sit alongside Hampstead's thoughtful village life
Hampstead has long been a home for writers, academics and the talking therapies. Keats lived here, Freud's last home was here, and Belsize Park and the streets around the Heath remain full of people who are used to reflecting carefully on their inner lives. Many are already in therapy or coaching and wonder whether a reading would clash with that.
In my experience it rarely does. A reading offers a different angle: an intuitive picture of where you are, which can sit beside the slower work of therapy rather than compete with it. It is guidance and reflection, and it is not a substitute for psychological, medical, legal or financial advice. If you're working with a therapist, you're welcome to bring what comes up in a reading back to them.
The Heath itself is a useful image here. People walk up Parliament Hill to see the whole of London laid out, and suddenly their own problems look a little smaller. A good reading can do something similar: it lets you step back far enough to see the layout.
If you're the reflective type, the 60-minute session is usually the better choice, because it gives you time to sit with what comes up rather than rush on to the next thing. The hour works just as well over Zoom in your own sitting room as it does in person. If you know you process slowly, tell me at the start, and I'll leave longer pauses and check in more often.
Developing your own psychic gifts
Camden has always been a place for people who do things differently, and people drawn to a reading are very often quietly intuitive themselves. They have vivid dreams, strong first impressions of people, or a sense of someone who has passed. If that sounds like you, my structured psychic development courses may be the next step.
There are three levels, each taught live to a group; if you'd prefer, I'll teach any of them to you one to one. We work on trusting your intuition, building discernment so you can tell real insight from wishful thinking, strengthening your connection to Spirit and, for those who want it, developing mediumship. I'm a supportive teacher but a disciplined one, and I expect students to practise.
A very well orchestrated class. The teacher is very supportive, with lots of love and kindness, at the same time firm and disciplined in the teaching.

I go through what each level covers right now, and when the next group begins, in the free Intuitive Clarity Consultation, a 20-minute Zoom call where we work out which level, if any, fits where you are now.
Connecting with loved ones in Spirit
Some people come to me wanting to hear from a parent, partner or friend who has died. Mediumship sessions with me are gentle and honest. No one can guarantee who will come through, and I never fish for information or pretend a connection is stronger than it is. When someone in Spirit does make themselves known, I describe what I'm given as faithfully as I can and leave room for you to take your time with it.
Intuitive coaching for creatives and tech teams
The streets behind King's Cross St Pancras now hold a large community of designers, developers and founders, many of them working long and irregular hours. For them, I offer intuitive coaching on Zoom: a regular space to think through career moves, creative blocks and the decisions that come with building something of your own. A half-hour session fits easily into a break, and I work from 9am to 5pm every day, weekends included.
Getting to an in-person session is straightforward from almost anywhere in the borough. The Northern line splits at Camden Town, the Overground runs through Camden Road and Hampstead Heath, and Euston and King's Cross St Pancras put the rest of London within a short ride. Face-to-face sessions are by appointment in London, with the meeting place passed on to you once your booking is made. For more on the surrounding boroughs, see my North London overview.
